The C1 bipolar prosthesis consists of a self-locking stem, a head and a biarticular cup

Stem

  • Self-locking 
  • Cemented 
  • Straight 
  • Titanium alloy or steel alloy (with a polished finish to allow micro adjustments in the cement or a shot blasted finish for maximum grip and minimum stress to the cement) 
  • antero-posterior flattened section for increased stability 
  • available in 8 different sizes

Bipolar cups and insert

  • Stainless steel cup
  • Available in 20 different sizes with internal diameter from 41 to 62 mm, with 1 mm increments from size 41 to 58 mm and 2 mm increments from size 58 to 62 mm

Insert

  • Polyethylene UHMWWPE with low friction coefficient
  • Good resistance to traction
  • Available in 6 sizes (5 for cups diameter 28 mm and 1 for cup diameter 22 mm). Cups from diameters 41 to 44 are supplied with insert for heads of 22,2. An insert for heads of diameter 28 mm is also available (for greater articulation)

Femoral head

  • Available in stainless steel and chrome-cobalt (the latter only for heads of diameter 28 mm)
  • Available in 3 different sizes: short, medium and long
